Membership The organization is open to all adult adopted Koreans, who can become members. Currently information is announced by newsletter via email and 800 people are subscribed to the list serve. Membership fee is paid annually based on the calendar year.
Organization Board membership is a volunteer based structure consisting of 4-7 persons on a yearly basis. The board members are responsible for brainstorming, organizing, and hosting events for adult adoptees throughout the year. Board meeting take place one a month with each individual board member taking on specific responsibilities pertaining to organization and leadership.

Mission The Mission of AKConnection is to be a resource for adult Korean adopteed by providing information and building a supportive community. AKConnection has a website dedicated to the global community of Korean Adoptees that displays current information and resources of interest to Korean Adoptees.
History AK Connection was founded in early 2000 and is based in Minnesota, USA. Its foundation is based on the collaboration of multiple Korean Adoptees to centralize and disperse information via the Internet. National/International events, returning to Korea, adoptee experiences, and many other Korean Adoptee related topics are all incorporated into a single web site for ease of use and convenience. AKConnection is a Federal 501c3 status non profit organization comprised of an all volunteer Board of Directors.
