IKAA International Gatherings

The first large-scale gathering of Korean adoptees took place in Washington, D.C. in 1999, followed by the second gathering in Oslo, Norway in 2001. The first Korea Gathering was held in 2004, after which IKAA was established. Since then, IKAA and its global network have continued to host large-scale international gatherings around the world. These events create space for Korean adoptees from across the globe to connect, reflect, and build community. IKAA International Gatherings typically welcome 150+ participants and are held at least once per year. Every three years, the Gathering is hosted in Korea (IKAA Korea Gathering), drawing up to 700 attendees.

IKAA International Gatherings are truly one-of-a-kind experiences, bringing together a global community through shared history and purpose.
